"Midwest Country News The First 12 Years"

Midwest Country News made its debut in June, 1986, in Des Moines, Iowa. Started by Barbara Hays, the monthly newspaper soon took on wings and was available elsewhere. Today, 2006, you will find MC News in Central and Southern Iowa, Northern Missouri, Eastern Kansas and Eastern Nebraska, where it is distributed in stores, malls, fairs, festivals, and shows. It is also available by subscription for the cost of postage and handling, and these readers make up a small portion of readership--but reside from coast to coast!

Today Barbara Hays (Ackley) continues to publish the Midwest Country News each month.
